“ Our family vacation to Italy included a trip to Venice, and of course we ate very well. The wait staff was great at making recommendations, and the food was fresh and delicious. The seafood is phenomenal, I highly recommend the pasta with clams, Lobster spaghetti, and the seafood pasta. ”
“ We had the best seafood pasta here. I got the lobster pasta and my mom got the fish soup and we were both happy. Definitely give this place a try. ”
“ Great service and awesome view right on the canal and thoroughly enjoyed seafood spaghetti. ”
“ Good Service Good Food Venice is a Tourist Trap But there are some good restaurants ”
“ Amazing food! We wandered in after a very rainy day not expecting to have the best meal of our time in Venice. The seafood pasta had so much seafood, the sauces were incredible, and complimentary limoncello to end our meal! We would definetly reccomend this find, especially if the weather holds out so that you can sit outside with a view of the canal. ”
“ Omg I wish I live nearby so I can come here all the time! I took a little quick trip to Venice after a work trip in Paris. Rio Novo is within walking distance to my hotel, so after arriving in Venice, I came here for my first meal in Italy. Let me just say that Rio Novo really delivered ! I probably ordered too much for 1 person, but everything looked so good. The carbonara is the best I've had, the grilled seafood platter was so good. I liked the scampi the most, its meat was so sweet. Grilled scallops were good too. For dessert I had the tiramisu, I mean when you're in Italy, you have to eat tiramisu. It was also really good. I had such a great dinner that I came back again the next day and tried other dishes. Everything I've tried was very tasty. Service was good too. Nice ambiance with outdoor seats looking over the water. It was so beautiful watching the sunset while savoring yummy food. I hope to come back again some day soon! ”
“ My husband searched around Venice for one of the best restaurants to eat in. We arrived 10 minutes early and was waiting for them to open up. One of their personnel, who noticed us standing in the cold, was very kind enough to allow us inside while waiting for them to open up the resto fully. He let us sit by the window and we had a good time to read the menu. The place was nice and warm, too. When our food arrived, the personnel waiting on our table was very kind and professional. The food? It was exquisite. I had the creamiest Carbonara ever. My husband also thoroughly enjoyed his meal. The serving was more than enough. The plates were even artfully done with colorful swirls on the side. Also, while waiting for the bill, we were given these free yellow drinks and chocolates, too. This was my favorite restaurant so far in our Italy trip. 5 brilliant stars, indeed. ”
“ Every dish was flavorful. Service was a bite slow but was very attentive and nice. Definitely better than some of the other stores closer to the grand canal. They do get a lot of tourists! I'd take a closer look at them versus some other restaurants. They are very close to the bus station near Santa Lucia station. ”
“ Needed a little afternoon pick me up and of course a Spritz as you do in Italy. Rio Novo fitted the requirements! Service was ok nothing special, but the food was really good and the spritz! Delish. I had a lovely fresh brushetta , served so beautifully. Fanciest one I've ever seen. Nice fresh bread, and chunks of tomatoes. The arugula was spicy and the perfect greens for it. Nice olive oil to top it off. Great snack. The view from my outside seat was perfect people watching again. Watching gondolas go up and down the canal. Really love these outdoor eateries in Venice. They had nice entrees by the looks of things here too. But I recommend what I got for sure! ”
“ First restaurant I tried here in Venice.. Outside table was full so waited about 10 mins to sit.. Pretty good selections of food. Assuming due to location food cost little more than other city. I found the prices to be bit higher than other restaurants I've been in Florence. Ordered mixed salad which was pretty decent. Ordered zupa di pesce and spaghetti with meat sauce. Don't expect to come here and eat and go.. Food took forever to come out.. I say over 40 mins.. Luckily I had plenty of time to kill so it wasn't so bad. Soup was very good.. Very clean tasty broth with some clams, mussels, I think small squid pieces, and one large shrimp.. Over all soup was very good. Spaghetti with meat sauce was also very good.. Good thing food was good for how long it took. I would definitely come back and try some other dishes. ”
